Confirmation is one of the three Sacraments of Christian Initiation, along with Baptism and Eucharist. Confirmation involves the “sealing” and strengthening of the Holy Spirit, whose gifts make us more like Christ.
In the Archdiocese of Seattle, those baptized in infancy must be at least 16 years of age by the date of Confirmation to be confirmed. Confirmation is held every two years. Proximate preparation for Confirmation begins in the middle-school and early high-school years through participation in parish youth programs, such as The Edge and Lifeteen. Immediate preparation for Confirmation begins in the winter with the Rite of Confirmation celebrated in the spring. For further information contact Anita Florence or the parish office to sign-up.
Are you a Catholic adult who has never received the Sacrament of Confirmation? It is not too late to do so. Please contact the parish office for more information.
